Since 1996, she has collaborated with artisans on the island of Murano, Italy, creating sculptures from colorless Venetian cristallo glass. Her work emphasizes transparency and light, resulting in organic forms that interact with their surroundings.
Mishima’s pieces are held in collections such as the Mus.e des Arts D.coratifs in Paris and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. In 2001, she received the Giorgio Armani Prize for Best Artist at Sotheby’s Contemporary Decorative Arts Exhibition in London.
